On smaller boats Reaching Struts are usually attached to a fixed Mast Eye, or Ring, one on each side of the Mast, See Spinnaker Pole Mast Eyes. On larger boats Reaching Struts usually use a variety of Brackets with Pins to fit the special inboard ends available. Listed below are Reaching Strut Mast Fittings for use with Forespar TS Pin Pole Ends and Sparcraft Bayonet Pin Pole Ends. On some larger Racing and Cruising yachts Reaching Struts will be attached to a Track-mounted Car, normally used for a Whisker Pole, on each side of the Mast, See: Spinnaker Cars.

Isomat NG1 Reaching Strut Mast Eye: NG1-38: Diamond shaped SS Reaching Strut Mast Eye with welded horizontal Ring. Unit is 67mm (2 1/4") high x 85mm (3 1/4") wide, and attaches to the side of the Mast with (4) 1/4" screws or rivets. 8mm Ring has 31mm (1 1/4") ID. Base is formed for use on Isomat NG-51 and smaller NG Mast Sections. |

Isomat NG2 Reaching Strut Mast Eye: NG2-38: Diamond shaped SS Reaching Strut Mast Eye with welded vertical Eye. Unit is 115mm (4 1/2") high x 73mm (2 7/8") wide, and attaches to the side of the Mast with (4) 1/4" screws or rivets. 10mm Eye has (minimum) 40mm (1 1/2") ID. Base is formed for use on Isomat NG-60 and larger NG Mast Sections.

Cast Aluminum Bracket is 3 3/4" high x 1 11/16" wide, and attaches to Mast with (4) 1/4" FH screws on 3" (vertical) x 15/16" (horizontal) centers. Forespar TS Pin & Toggle Ass'y: For TS-PT: Replacement Forespar TS Pin & Toggle Assembly fits all Forespar TS type Pole ends, and Spinnaker Cars (and Brackets) with a 1/2" vertical Pin and clearance for a 1" Toggle. Stainless Steel TS Pin is 1" OD x 3 5/8" long, SS Toggle is 1" high with hole for a 1/2" Pin, and is 2 3/4" between Pin centers.

Sparcraft Type 2 Toggle only: SPC 73-12T2: Replacement Sparcraft Toggle (Type 2) fits Sparcraft Bayonet Pin and Spinnaker Cars (and Brackets) with a 1/2" vertical Pin and clearance for a 1 3/16" Toggle. Stainless Steel Toggle is 1 3/16" high x 1 3/8" wide with holes for 1/2" Pins, and measures 1 5/8" between Pin centers. Horizontal (1/2") Pin is included.
