F-560E Furling Mast

The Sparcraft F-560E has characteristics similar to the Sparcraft FM-580 Mast Section, and shares many parts with it. Parts used primarily or exclusively with the F-560E Mast Section are listed here.

F-560E Mast - Furling Components
FE2 Furling Foil - D34: FE2-Foil: FE2 (D34) Furling Foil is used on F-560E and larger Furling Masts. D34 aluminum Furling extrusion is 34.6mm diameter, and is available in 16.5M lengths (54' 2").
F-560E Internal Halyard Hoist Car: F560E-HC: Halyard Hoist Car for FE2 Furling Foil is used with F-560E Furling Masts. Unit is (maximum) 87mm OD x 152mm (6") long (without shackles) and includes Shackles for attachment of Halyard and sail.
FE2 Furling Foil Feeder: FE2-FF: Aluminum Feeder is used at the bottom of the Furling Foil on F-560E Furling Masts. Unit is 50mm (2") long and attaches to Splice Connector with a 6mm x 12mm FH screw.
FE2 Furling Foil Splice Connector - Telescopic: FE2-SCT: Aluminum Splice connects the to the Furling unit to the Furling Foil on F-560E Furling Masts. Telescopic Splice Connector is secured in Furling unit using the FE1-THA Furling Screw Tack Hook, and to Furling Foil with (2) 6mm x 12mm FH screws. Splice Connector is (maximum) 15mm fore & aft x 25mm wide x 370mm (14 9/16") long, and is drilled for Tack Hook and Foil Feeder screw.
Furling Screw Tack Hook: FE1-THA: SS Tack Hook also connects Furling unit to the Splice Connector on I-265E, I-365E, and F-560E Furling Masts. Tack Hook is 8mm (5/16") x 2 1/2" long and includes locknut.

F-560E Furling Screw Ass'y: F560E-FA: FE1 Furling Screw Assembly is used on F-560E Furling Masts. Unit is attached to Mast with (4) 1/4" (or 6mm) FH screws. Note: Mast must be down to replace Furling Screw Assembly.
	FE1 Furling Screw Line: FE1-Line: Standard Furling Line for F-560E Furling Masts is 10mm x 59' (18M) long.
	F-560E Furling Screw Line Guard: F560E-LG: SS Line Guard Assembly is used on F-560E Furling Masts produced in France only. Unit is (maximum) 400mm (15 3/4") long and attaches to Mast with (2) 6mm (1/4") rivets.

F-560E Tack Access Cover Plate: F560E-CP: Removable Cover Plate allows access to the Mainsail Tack for feeding or removing the sail. Cut from a piece of F-560E Mast Section, unit is held in place using the FE1-CPS Cover Plate attachment Slide. Aluminum Cover Plate is used on Masts produced in France only.
	FE1 Cover Plate Attachment Slide: FE1-CPS: Sliding Plate attaches Cover Plate to Mast by sliding in the auxiliary Sail Slide slot. Unit is secured using (3) 6mm Allen set screws (included). SS Plate is 17mm wide x 300mm long (11 3/4") with tapped holes.

*Folding Mast Stair - Composite Gray: K-11770C-G:* Folding Mast Stairs are commonly used on Furling Masts, to aid in attaching and removing the Mainsail. This lightweight Composite unit projects 1 3/8" out from Mast when closed, and 6" when open. Fold-down tread is (maximum) 1 1/4" wide with a 4 1/2" foot space. Molded glass-filled unit will not rattle. Base is 4 1/4" high x (maximum) 2 5/8" wide, unit is 6" high when closed. Attaches to mast with (5) 3/16" (5mm) RH screws or rivets. Wide slightly curved base will fit most larger Mast Sections, composite base is easily faired to fit others. Unit weighs only 5.8 oz. and has a maximum load capacity of 300 lbs. (140 Kg.). Stocked in medium Gray (-G), unit is also available in Black (-B), or White (-W). A variety of other Mast Stairs are available, See: Mast Stairs.

F-560E Mast - Gooseneck Brackets The F-560E Mast Section is used with NG1 or FM2 Gooseneck Brackets to fit any FB Boom. Gooseneck Brackets are also used as Vang Brackets. For Vang Toggles used with these Brackets, See FM-580 Vang Brackets, or Isomat Vang Toggles.
NG1 Gooseneck Bracket for Furling Mast - 12mm Pin: NG1-11F: Cast aluminum Gooseneck Bracket is used on I-265E, I-365E, and F-560E Furling Masts with FB-550 and smaller Booms. It is compatible with all FB and NB Gooseneck Toggles that use a 12mm Pin. Bracket is 3 7/8" (98mm) high x 3 9/16" (90mm) wide, and is fastened with four (4) 1/4" (6mm) rivets. Bracket has 12mm (7/16") holes for use with any of the NB1-1 Vertical Gooseneck Toggle Pins. *Note that Bracket is commonly drilled for use with six (6) rivets, locating indents are provided.
	FB2 Gooseneck Toggle for 12mm Vertical Pin: FB2-411: Extruded Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle is used on FB-220 and FB-550 Booms to attach to any of the NG1-11 Gooseneck Brackets. Toggle is 1 15/16" (50mm) high x 1 5/8" wide x 2 7/8" long with holes for 12mm vertical and horizontal pins on 1 7/16" centers. Anodized Toggle features central hole for cotter pin to secure Horizontal Pin FB220-1P, or FB550-1P.
	NB1 Vertical Gooseneck Pin: NB1-1: Clevis pin is 12mm (7/16") dia. x 85mm (3 3/8") long. Used to attach the Gooseneck Toggle to NG1-11 Gooseneck/Vang Brackets.
	NB1 Gooseneck Toggle: NB1-4: Used with FB-36, FB-60, FB-125, NB-16 and NB-26 Booms, Plastic Toggle fits in between the ears in the Gooseneck Casting. Horizontal Gooseneck Cylinder, NB1-3, then slides through the Gooseneck Casting and the Gooseneck Toggle. All 3 pieces are held together by the Vertical Gooseneck clevis Pin.
	NB1 Horizontal Gooseneck Cylinder: NB1-3: Used with FB-36, FB-60, FB-125, NB-16 and NB-26 Booms, Plastic Cylinder slides through the Gooseneck Casting and the NB1-4 Gooseneck Toggle. Vertical Gooseneck Pin then slides through Mast Bracket, Gooseneck Toggle, and Horizontal Gooseneck Cylinder, in that order. Black plastic cylinder is 1" diameter x 1 1/2" long with hole for 12mm pin.


FM2 Gooseneck Bracket, Furling Mast - 14mm Pin: FM2-11F: Extruded aluminum FM2 Gooseneck/ Vang Bracket is used on a variety of Furling Mast Sections for use with FB-220 and larger Booms. Bracket has 14mm (9/16") hole for use with any of the FB2-1 Gooseneck Pins and FB2-4 Gooseneck Toggles, below. Bracket is 4 3/8" (112mm) high x 3 7/16" (88mm) wide, and is fastened with ten (10) 1/4" (6mm) rivets.
	FB2 Gooseneck Pin Ass'y w/ Shackle: FB2-1ARA: 14mm Vertical Gooseneck Toggle Pin Assembly is used to attach FB2-412 or FB2-414 Gooseneck Toggles to FM2-11 Mast Brackets. SS Gooseneck Pin Assembly includes Tack Shackle NB2-2, washers and 14mm SS Locknut. Unit is 14mm (9/16") diameter x 135mm (5 3/8") long (under head).
	FB2 Vertical Gooseneck/Vang Toggle Pin Ass'y: FB2-1BA: 14mm Vertical Toggle Pin assembly includes SS Locknut and washers. SS Gooseneck Pin is 14mm (9/16") diameter x 135mm (5 3/8") long (under head), and threaded on the bottom.
	FB2 Gooseneck Toggle for 12mm Horizontal Pin: FB2-412: Cast Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle is used on FB-220 and FB-550 Booms to attach to FM2-11 and NG2-12 Gooseneck Brackets. Toggle is 2 3/4" (69mm) high x 1 1/2" (37mm) wide x 3 3/8" (86mm) long, with holes for 14mm Vertical and 12mm Horizontal pins, on 2" (50mm) centers. Anodized Toggle features central hole for cotter pin to secure Horizontal Pin.
	FB2 Gooseneck Toggle for 14mm Horizontal Pin: FB2-414: Cast Aluminum Gooseneck Toggle is used on FB-810 and larger Booms to attach to FM2-11 and NG2-12 Gooseneck Brackets. Anodized Toggle is 2 3/4" (69mm) high x 1 1/2" (37mm) wide x 3 3/8" (86mm) long, with holes for 14mm Vertical and 14mm Horizontal pins, on 2" (50mm) centers. Anodized Toggle features central hole for cotter pin to secure Horizontal Pin.

*Mast Collar Wedge – Large Rubber: NGA-19:* Heavy Extruded Rubber Wedge for use with Isomat and other Masts. Large stepped Rubber Wedge is used to support the mast as it passes through the Deck Collar. Wedge is 2 3/4" (70mm) long x 1 1/8" (28mm) wide, and is 1 3/16" (30mm) thick at the top tapering to 11/16" (18mm) thick at the bottom.
F-560E Deck Collar, Special - Island Packet: F560E-13: Simple Aluminum Deck Collar for use with FM-560E Mast Section provides a clean, uncluttered look without any attachment provisions. Used with Special One-piece Mast Collar Wedge, F560E-13SW, below. Cast Deck Collar is 12 1/2" (318mm) long x 8 1/2" (216mm) wide x (maximum) 1 3/4" high, and fastens to deck with (6) 1/4" (6mm) screws. Maximum ID is 9 5/8" x 5 5/8". 	*Special One-piece Mast Collar Wedge: F560E-13SW:* Special One-piece Molded Polyurethane Wedge for use with F-560E Mast and Special Island Packet Deck Collar, F560E-13. One-piece molded Wedge fits like a glove to give maximum support to the mast as it passes through the Deck Collar. Wedge is (maximum) 10 1/2" (265mm) long x 6 5/8" (168mm) wide x 3" (76mm) high. F-560E Mast Step - Keel Mount Special: F560E-2K:
Heavy-duty Adjustable Keel-mounted Mast Step for F-560E and other Mast Sections attaches to the keel or keelson with (4) 10mm (3/8") bolts in external slots to allow for precise positioning without unstepping the mast. Cast clear anodized Mast Step is 10 3/16" (260mm) long x 7 1/4" (185mm) wide, and allows for 25mm (1") fore and aft adjustment. Unit is marked 36032503853. Halyard Organizer Plate: FM580-2HP:
Halyard Organizer Plate is designed to fit under the F560E-1K and F560E-2K Mast Steps when used on deck. Formed SS Plate has seven (7) 3/4" (19mm) holes on each side as well as five (5) on the aft side for attaching halyard turning blocks, boom vang, and halyard shackles. Base is 10 1/2" (265mm) long x 7 1/2" (190mm) wide and has (4) 1/2" mounting holes on 7316" x 5 7/8" centers, as well as a central 3" (75mm) hole for wiring conduit. Plate measures 11 5/8" x 9 5/8" overall and can also be drilled for use with any mast step up to 7 1/2" wide.

F-560E Mast Step - Deck Mount: FM385-7:
Cast Aluminum Mast Step for use with F-560E Mast Section. Mast Step has provisions for 10 new-style Mast Base Turning Blocks and a SS Bail, NG2-20, for attachment of a soft Boom Vang. Nut slots on underside of casting and 12mm holes allow for attachment of Mast Base Turning Blocks, NGA-40 or NGA-41, without unfastening Mast Step. Cast Mast Step is 11 3/8" (290mm) long x (maximum) 8 1/4" (208mm) wide, and fastens to deck with (6) 5/16" (8mm) FH Screws. Shown with optional Vang Bail, NG2-20. NG2 Deck Collar Bail: NG2-20:
SS Formed Bail fits in integral slot in aft side of Mast Step, used for attachment of Boom Vang. Bail is installed from underside of Deck Collar, which must be removed to install Bail. Bail is made from 10mm (3/8") rod, and is 2 3/4" (70mm) long x (maximum) 1 15/16" (50mm) high.

FM-560E Mast Step - Deck Mount: FM460-4M:
Cast Aluminum Mast Step for use with FM-460, FM-580, F-560E, and S-622 Mast Sections. Mast Step has provisions for (8) 14mm Mast Step Block Pins, NG3-21, and a SS Bail, NG2-20, for attachment of a soft Boom Vang. Block Pins and Bail are installed from underside of Mast Step Casting, Mast Step must be removed to install Block Pins or Bail. NG3 Mast Step Block Pin - 14mm: NG3-21:
14mm SS Block Pin is used for attachment of shackle or block to lead halyards aft. Fits in integral recessed hole in Mast Steps and Deck Collars with 14mm mounting holes. Block Pin is installed from underside of Mast Step Casting, Mast Step must be removed to install Block Pins. Special Block Pin is 14mm (9/16") diameter x 54mm (2 1/8") long (maximum), with a 35mm (1 3/8") grip length and an 8mm (5/16") hole for shackle pin, Block bolt or Block Pin Swivel Assembly.

F-560E Mast Step - Deck Mount: F560E-8:
Deck-mounted Mast Step for use with F-560E Mast Section. Mast Step has provisions for (12) 14mm Mast Step Block Pins, NG3-21, (2) 12mm NG2-21 Block Studs (aft), and a Vang Bail, FM3-20A, for attachment of a soft Boom Vang. Block Pins and Vang Bail are installed from underside of Mast Step Casting, Mast Step must be removed to install Block Pins or Vang Bail. Unit features Standpipe for Electrical wires and includes watertight cap to prevent water intrusion when Mast is unstepped. NG2 Mast Step Block Stud Pin - 12mm: NG2-21:
12mm SS Clevis Pin-shaped Block Stud is used for attachment of shackle or block to lead halyards aft. Fits in integral recessed 12mm hole in a variety of Mast Steps and Deck Collars. Block Stud is installed from underside of Casting, Casting must be removed to install Block Studs. Small head Block Stud is 12mm diameter x 45mm (1 3/4") long (maximum), with a 30mm (1 3/16") grip length and a 6mm (1/4") hole for shackle pin or Block bolt.

NG3 Mast Step Block Pin Ass'y w/ Toggle - 14mm: NG3-21PTA:

Special 14mm SS Block Pin Assembly includes standard 14mm Pin, NG3-21, and cast SS Toggle with a 8mm (5/16") Pin for attachment of shackle or block. Removable Toggle is attached with a separate 8mm Pin (included), and has 5/8" (17mm) inside jaw clearance. Unit fits in integral recessed hole in Isomat and Sparcraft Steps and Collars with 14mm mounting holes. Block Pin is installed from underside of Mast Step Casting, Mast Step must be removed to install Block Pins.

NG3 Block Pin Toggle for 14mm Pin: NG3-21TA:
Heavy-duty Block Pin Toggle only, as used in NG3-21PTA, above. Investment cast SS Toggle is 26mm (1") wide with a 5/8" (17mm) inside jaw clearance and includes (2) 8mm Pins for attachment to 14mm Block Pin and Block. Assembly fits on NG3-21 Block Pin. Unit is marked 48093000014.

FM3 Mast Step Bail Ass'y: FM3-20A:
Forged SS Mast Step Bail assembly is used for attachment of Boom Vang on a variety of Sparcraft Mast Steps. Bail (10mm) is installed through top of Mast Step Casting, 10 x 68mm rod is installed from underside.

F-560E Mast - Internal Waterproofing

F-560E Internal Waterproofing Plug - Fwd.: F560E-WPF:
Internal Waterproofing Plugs are installed in Keel-stepped Masts to prevent water intrusion below deck. Assembly for Forward Mast Cavity consists of 2 plastic pieces carefully cut to fit Mast interior with central PVC standpipe to allow passage of electrical wires. Unit slides up from the bottom of the Mast to a point just above Deck level where a hole is drilled in Mast to allow for application of expanding foam between plastic pieces. Second hole is drilled just above upper plastic piece to allow water drainage.

F-560E Internal Waterproofing Plug - Aft: F560E-WPA:
Internal Waterproofing Plugs are installed in Keel-stepped Masts to prevent water intrusion below deck. Expanding foam is used for installation of Internal Waterproofing Plug. Single-use can is sufficient for installation of any Internal Waterproofing Plug.
